went out with my parents to run errands today.. something to do with my bro's car.. mum brought me walking around paradiz centre to get some air con.. cos the weather's been freaking hot.. (everyone, agree?) and as some people know.. and some are about to find out.. paradiz centre is where you go to collect your $$ when you win the 4d and stuff like that.. well.. mum went in to buy 4d(not to collect $, unfortunately).. and i went in with her.. and on the door, it states, no one under 18 years of age is allowed to enter the premises.. the moment i stepped in, the guard there stopped me..
guard: how old is she? (qn obviously directed to my mum) mum: (looked at me, looked back at him) turning 20 guard: oh.. look so small ar mum: yar.. small built (mum went in to buy, i hung around the entrance, where the guard was) (another man enters to buy 4d, looks at me, looks at the guard) guard (to the man): guess how old is she? (man looks puzzled.. gives "... ..." look) guard: she's turning 20.. can't see that right.. look so young.. haha man: oh.. (walks towards the counter) guard (to me): which year were you born in? ME: 1988 guard: (after taking quite some time to count) oh.. that's right.. turning 20 le.. can't believe that happened in front of me la..the whole time, the kpo guard was discussing about me with my mum and with a STRANGER.. in front of me.. talking about me, as if, i wasn't there.. like.. hello.. i'm right in front of you 2.. and you just go on discussing about my size and all.. i feel awkward you know.. grr..
can't believe i'm left with just 1 more week of hols.. although i wished for sch to reopen faster during the hols.. now, come to think of it.. after next week, i have to wake up early everyday.. mug hard.. study study study.. no life.. OMG... this will go on all the way till chinese new year next year.. before i get another long break again.. you know what.. i think the school needs to rethink of how they should organise our hols.. probably shorter sem hols.. but more hols during the sem.. yea.. like.. not one shot 6 weeks la.. maybe something like 3 weeks.. then sch reopen.. during the sem, throw in 1 week, 1 week, 1 week of hols.. we get better rest, and during those 1 weeks breaks, we can catch up on what we were lagging on before continuing with the module.. good idea? :D
